The DMDC is born due to the genuine interest of the Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon Justice Zai Smith who immediately on resumption of office made his feelings known about his determination to provide this alternative service to the peoples of Delta State and anyone in general. On the 13th October 2011, His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan inaugurated the Project Steering Committee on the Multi door courthouse.
